  • Conduct a preliminary walkthrough of the facility.

  • Schedule a complimentary lighting audit.

Step 2: Comprehensive Audit and Assessment

  • Document the current lighting layout and design specifications.

  • Determine hours of operation, electricity cost per kWh, and utility provider information for rebate eligibility.

  • Identify the number, location, and types of luminaires.

  • Assess existing controls and explore potential system control upgrades.

Step 3: Analysis and Proposal Development

  • Analyze audit data to create system recommendations.

  • Align proposed solutions with customer objectives through collaboration between the engineer, project manager, and energy consultant.

  • Prepare and submit paperwork for applicable utility incentives.

  • Develop a detailed proposal including:

    • Financial comparison of current and proposed lighting systems.

    • Projections for energy, maintenance, and HVAC savings.

  • Complete federal EPACT tax incentive certification.

Step 4: Proposal Presentation and Approval

  • Present the proposal, highlighting:

    • Financial details.

    • Project scope and design.

    • Projected energy savings.

  • Obtain client approval to proceed.

Step 5: Pre-Project Planning

  • Assign a project manager to oversee the project.

  • Schedule a meeting with client personnel to review the project layout, timeline, and schedule.

  • Assign crew members for the project.

  • Review safety protocols and procedures.

  • Arrange for a pre-conversion inspection with the utility company to meet incentive requirements.

Step 6: Implementation

  • Ensure the project manager is on-site to oversee daily operations and crew performance.

  • Adapt crew schedules to accommodate client needs, including after-hours or weekend work at no additional charge.

  • Provide daily progress updates to key stakeholders.

  • Upon completion:

    • Conduct a final walkthrough with the client.

    • Arrange for any required post-conversion inspections to comply with utility incentives.

    • Finalize certification for the federal EPACT tax incentive.

  • Deliver a comprehensive case study and analysis of the completed project to stakeholders.
